Backyard Monsters:Octo-ooze-tips on octo-ooze

The Octo-Ooze is the second monster you get to unlock,in Backyard Monsters.

The Octo-Ooze is the first monster you unlock that targets other players defensive towers.
This Backyard Monster soaks up the fire power, leaving the other Monsters to do their damage.

The Octo-Ooze is very quickly produced and costs very little goo, which is def a plus in the lower levels.
Although the Octo-Ooze does the job needed to be done early on in the game, the damage that the Octo-Ooze inflicts is only small, so they do start to struggle and sooner, rather than later.

I recommend you send a few pokeys in with the Octo-Ooze, as their damage is greater and it makes it that bit easier for the Octo-Ooze to take the defensive towers successfully.
As soon as you can do so, unlock the Monster Itchi. This is what you should now use instead of the Octo-Ooze .

Backyard Monsters: Pokeys - Tips on Pokeys

Pokeys have their uses. Whilst not particularly strong or able to take fire well, Pokeys can be produced very quickly in comparison to some of the other Backyard Monsters. In the early stages of the game, the Pokeys can do the damage needed to be done to have a successful attack.
You can use the Pokeys to attack and rob Backyard monster supplies off other players, such as goo, pebbles, twigs, putty and pebbles.Which means you must take down other players,Town hall,Storage silos, goo machines, putty machines, twig snappers and pebble shiners.
The Pokeys can also be used with the Octo-ooz in the lower levels of the game,to help take down the defensives of another player,in your attack.
You will find that the Pokeys will start to struggle the further into the game you get,as to machines and equipment being upgraded to a higher level, which leaves the Pokeys struggling to take stuff down.Guns being upgraded also means they take the Pokeys out alot more easily.
When you reach Town hall level 4,you will be able to build a monster academy. This means that you will be able to train your Pokeys to level 3,which will give them a damage of 70 and leaving you able to produce 1 every 8 seconds. It does help to train the Pokeys up,because you can guarantee there will come a time, when you need to brew monsters quickly,or have little goo,and need the Pokeys, for a quick attack, the small difference in the damage you can inflict, once they are fully trained, does and can mean all the difference in what you get away with.
Id say that Pokeys diffinately have their good uses,up until around level 25 anyways, but even after this level,Pokeys are still useful,to build up monster numbers in an attack.
